He spent 10 years living with his wife Julie in Vail, Colorado, working as a financial executive, investing in cable TV and advertising companies. Pat ultimately developed and operated his own construction technology company . "Working in these industries has enabled me to develop a keen understanding of marketing, valuation, and most importantly, effective negotiating."

After selling his business in Vail, Pat's family started focusing on a warmer climate and the Sarasota area was the perfect lifestyle choice. Being a golfer, Pat relocated the family to Lakewood Ranch where he lives with Julie and their three children. "We love it here!
